Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make AuSable Eye Care the leading provider of vision care products and services in Grayling.

Dr. William Dean

Dr. William Dean attended Hope College from 1977-1981 earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Upon graduation, he attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago from 1981-1985, earning a Doctorate of Optometry, O.D. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as Staff Optometrist from 1985-1988. Dr. Dean purchased the existing optometry office from Dr. Ralph Hoffman in 1988. The office underwent major renovations in 1994.

Dr. Dean is a past board member of the Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce, Grayling Kiwanis Club, and the Grayling Lions Club. He is a past president of the Grayling Redskins Football program and is a past president/current member of the Crawford AuSable School Board. Dr. Dean has coached football and basketball for many years. Dr. Dean enjoys trout fishing, downhill skiing and snowmobiling. He and his wife, Cory, reside in Grayling. They have four children: Zachary, Spencer, Griffin and Wesley.

Dr. Robert Aubry

Dr. Robert Aubry attended Ferris State University from 1987-1991 earning a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology. He entered the College of Optometry at Ferris State University in Big Rapids in 1991 and received his Doctorate of Optometry, O.D. in 1995. Dr. Aubry joined Dr. Dean in the current practice in 1996.

Dr. Aubry is a past board member of the Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce, Grayling Little League and the Mio Lions Club. He is a member of the Grayling Rotary Club and the current president of the Grayling Youth Booster Club. Dr. Aubry has coached baseball for the Grayling Little Leauge and was on the coaching staff at Grayling High School for many years. He also is a current board member of the Grayling Country Club. Dr. Aubry enjoys golf, hunting and fishing. He and his wife, Sherri, reside in Grayling. They have two children: Jacob and Jensen.

Sherri Aubry Comptroller

Dr. Lindsay Wade attended Ferris State University from 2006-2009 where she earned a Bachelor or Science in Vision Science. She began optomerty school in 2009 and earned her Doctorate of Optometry, O.D. in 2013. Dr Wade joined Drs Dean and Aubry at AuSable Eye Care in 2018 Dr. Wade was born and raised in West Branch, Mi. She and her husband, Brian, who is also an optometrist have moved around Northern Michigan since graduating from optomerty school. They have found the Grayling area to be a wonderful community to work and live. They built a home in 2017 north of Higgins Lake in Roscommon. The Wades enjoy the outdoors including camping, gardening and canning their own food, and fishing the beautiful inland and Great Lakes of Michigan for salmon, trout, and walleye. They have one daughter: Allisa.
